ABOUT KAITLIN DIAZ,

Guiding others has always been a passion of mine from an early age. As I got older, the passion became stronger and pushed me into many different volunteer positions. My desire to help facilitate change crossed paths with my love for volleyball and led me to Costa Rica on mission trips. It was there, in Costa Rica, I knew I was being called to work with people on a more intimate level as my life’s work. Now, I am a Licensed Social Worker. I earned my Masters Degree at New York University. I have worked closely with children, adolescents and adults as they approach topics ranging from everyday stressors and anxieties.

KAITLIN DIAZ’S APPROACH TO THERAPY

I enjoy facilitating a supportive, healing, and confidential space for my clients while providing tools and coping mechanisms that can help on the road to relief, peace and clarity. My practice utilizes mindfulness meditation, play, yoga-based movement and breathing, self-care, and homework to ensure the wellness process continues after our session if over. My therapeutic approach is supported by evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Narrative Therapy, among others. I look at the therapeutic process as a journey. There are many ways to navigate this journey, and it will be customized specifically to your needs and strengths.

In my spare time, I enjoy being present with my husband and 4 children, practicing yoga, and spending time outdoors. I have a loving and playful Goldendoodle, Nala, who will hopefully join me for therapy after completion of her Therapy training.

Perinatal Mental Health

There is a flood of emotions that accompany infertility, family planning, pregnancy, and the adjustment to parenthood. It is so critical that men and women alike can feel seen and heard during some of the most beautiful, exciting, scary, tumultuous and heartbreaking moments of adulthood and parenthood. My path as a parent and PMH trained clinician has allowed me to support, validate, comfort, and embrace my clients where they are at and walk with them as they relearn to live with any perinatal outcome.

If you are looking for extra support and guidance through a challenging situation or you are just ready to move in a new direction in your life, we look forward to working with you to achieve your goals.
